The Clinical Research Foundation EEU Mission
The Clinical Research Foundation EEU was founded in 2007 by a group of Clinical Investigators and Clinical Research Professionals from Industry who recognized that whilst GCP had developed processes that were very much needed with these fuelling the growth of many CROs and attendant vendors, the distance between Excellent Clinical Practice and Science and the processes used by many CROs had grown dramatically and sadly not to the benefit of the Drug or Device Development Industries.
The Clinical Research Foundation EEU was founded to bridge this gap.
The Clinical Research Foundation EEU is both an academic advisory faculty and an academic-based clinical research organization. It combines the clinical expertise and academic leadership of an Clinical Advisory Board, comprising of distinguished clinicians and KOLs, along with professional clinical operational capabilities. It operates independently, or in conjunction with a sponsor’s own in-house teams, depending upon the requirements and native capabilities.
This unique group focuses on a specific region within EMEA, including the Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania), Georgia, Poland, Türkiye, and other countries in Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe. Additionally, it has developed scientific collaborations with countries in the MENA region, such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the UAE.

In Clinical Research, we work with Industry to attain the following:
Provide expert and critical assessments of Clinical Development Projects with regard to the Region of Operation
The Foundation Board of Clinical Experts, advise on Patient availability and Regional Standards of Care – to ensure patient appropriateness
The Foundation Scientific Board, working in conjunction with the Foundation Clinical Operations Team develop clear strategies for Patient accrual. They focus on where the patients can be found, not – as many CROs do, on where Clinical Monitors are available.
The Foundation Scientific Board is intimately involved in Site and Team Training – this being possible in both English and CEE languages
The Board works with the sponsor (or other) teams on Project issues, patient suitability and other Site requests which need rapid resolution
The Clinical Operations Team have a close relationship with Foundation Scientific Board members which enhances rapidity and transparency of problem solving.
The Foundation believes in transparency of operation and integration with all projects teams involved in any project
